I am pretty sure this was not the case when I sent some image messages a couple of weeks ago. When I hit the camera button while on my text message screen, only the camera screen comes up, there is no access to my photo album. Pressing the Start will 'play' the picture as move of about 5 seconds - since it is a picture, of course the image does not change. Question: Q: Can't attach photo to text message I did the most recent iphone update (ios 12) to my phone (iphone 6) and since then I have not been able to attach pictures to my text messages. with the picture at the top of the screen, and a Start, Rewind and Forward button at the bottom. One thing to note: when it’s actually sent, it breaks up into text + photo + text, as you can see in this slightly chopped pic: Hope that helps you send.

Something I noticed but did not mention before : if I view a text message with a picture attached, and press the image to 'view' it,*a sort of movie view is started*e.g. Tap on Choose and it shrinks down and shows up in the MMS input area: That’s all there is to sending photographs or pictures as text messages (well, as mms messages) on your iPhone. I did send picture attachments with text message before, some weeks ago, but not after upgrading to Froyo 2.2.1 ( just to be complete - can't think this has anything to do with it ). Is there a setting that can be set, anyhow ? Is this a problem with my phone company, you think, or can I have changed some setting somehow. Your phones MMS service allows for a picture text, a video text, a text message with an animated GIF, or a written text message thats too long for SMS. Scroll through your Gallery to find the picture you want to send. Click the picture symbol, which appears on the left side of the screen when you start adding text. However, when I try to send this text message - the status remains sending ( an my correspondent does not receive the message ). Pick an existing conversation or start a new message. I tried to send a text message - attaching a photo already on my phone ( the first time ) and attaching a picture taken at time of send ( the second time ).
